Welcome

I want to begin by acknowledging how much courage it takes to seek support. Taking care of your mental health while navigating the everyday challenges of life isn’t easy—and reaching out can feel even harder. So, truly, I’m glad you’re here.
At Chelsea Rose Counselling and Therapy Services, I offer compassionate, non-judgmental and trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy to adult and adolescent individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief or relationship challenges. No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to face it alone.
My approach is integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed—rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep belief in your capacity for healing and growth. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. I use a variety of treatment approaches with my clients, including mindfulness-based CBT, Somatic Therapy, ACT, IFS, Attachment-Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there! I’m Chelsea Stephenson. My journey to working in the counselling and psychotherapy field started when I graduated in 2017 from University of Winnipeg with my BA in Psychology. From there, I spent several years working in childcare and education supporting children and youth with social, emotional and developmental challenges. While getting to support children and their families in various ways, I began to notice my interest in trauma and mental health increase.
Fast forward to 2025, I have now graduated with my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I completed my practicum with a trauma therapist who specializes in EMDR, and was able to gain invaluable experience supporting individuals with various levels of trauma.
In my personal time, I love to read, listen to music, watch Netflix, get outside, and spend time caring for my two cats, Toby and Huey!

I often support clients with attachment wounds and relationship challenges. You deserve to feel secure, connected, and heard in your relationships!
Likewise, I support parents and caregivers in child-parent/caregiver relationships, using both attachment theory and the model of Circle of Security, to help build connection with their children and foster secure attachment.
Along with relationships, I love to help my clients understand their emotions and gain more familiarity and comfort in experiencing them. As much as we'd like to, when dealing with stress, anxiety, sadness or grief (to name a few), we can't just "think" our emotions away - we have to feel them to process them.
